This wine boasts a deep, glowing garnet color, and inviting aromatics of dark berries like boysenberry and black raspberry, earth, and baking spice. It is bright on the front palate showing initial flavors of cranberry that evolve to tart cherry and earth with structured tannins on mid-palate and finish. | 880

2016 Corton Grand Cru Blanc – Dom. Chandon de Briailles

2016 – This is a blend of Grand Cru sites: 80% Bressandes, 15% Chaumes, and 5% Renardes; South and South-East facing, mid-slope (but upper slope for the Renardes). An unusual Chardon- nay coming mainly from Pinot Noir soils, so quite full, evoking peach, apricot, and a touch of honey. There is no new-oak used here, and no lees-stirring; the wine is very elegant and fresh. | 330
