Ever wonder what we do with our bourbon barrel’s from our staff picks?

Some get turned into furniture and some get used by our partners to create amazing products.  Our most recent pick, fondly called “Courtney’s Bottle” was a bourbon that was conditioned in a barrel that was preciously used to age Vermont Maple Syrup.  Last month Matt from Speckled Ax put 30 pounds of unroasted  or green, coffee beans in the barrel for three weeks before roasting the beans with Maine hardwoods.  The result is a coffee that features all the things we love about bourbon and properly roasted coffee.    



Notes of Chocolate, dark fruits and butter rum dominate the cup with an accompanying nose that will remind you that these beans were conditioned in a freshly emptied bourbon barrel.
